Speaking of International signings…
By: Melissa | January 8th, 2009Apparently, Umea just announced they’ve officially dropped out of the bidding war over Marta which leaves La Sol as the lone interested club. And, to top it all off, Johanna Frisk, just accepted a contract with La so I think it’s pretty dern obvious where we are gonna see a certain player wind up in a few months. Oh and also apparently, the signing announcement is going to happen at the World Player Gala in Zurich on January 12 which should be great news for La Sol’s huge European fan base.

maybe if they could have kept Frisk quiet a little longer, we would have at least been able to play at suspense a little longer. now the big guesser is where the announcement is coming…

Not important, but Frisk talked because her club had “outed” her. Shortly after they released their Bye bye, Marta statement, they also published a Good bye and thank you to Frisk, wishing her luck in Los Angeles.
And you’re probably not wrong if you guess this was intended to kill the suspens. The other Swedish Marta bidder simply said that they don’t want to play along in a publicity stunt when they stepped back the day before UmeÃ¥.
