The most half-assed preview post in the history of The Offside
By: Melissa | April 16th, 2009The job that actually pays me is kicking my ass all over the place this week so my exceptionally half-assed previews & reviews aren’t going to happen (call this a cry for help for a co-blogger – anyone? Beuhller?). Tune in next week when I plan to get back to the usual and by the usual I mean making fun of players’ twitter/facebook pictures in the hopes it will make me sound intelligent and knowleged on the subject of women’s soccer.
And to make a longish story short, I will BE AT the Chicago Red Stars home opener and if I’m sober enough, I will update this blog with as many stupid anecdotes and silly pictures I can find. So there’s something to look forward to I guess and if you – person reading this – will also be at Toyota Park (I think I’m going to Saturday’s Fire game too), then please do say hi.
So in the meantime and in anticipation, here’s your picture of the week (which could also double as “caption this…” just what is she saying?)

Let me get this straight: you don’t go to the Inaugural Game, which is “historic” and a 5 hour drive. However, you go to a useless first Chicago game which is a 4 hour flight! BTW, what kind of team has its home opener THREE WEEKS into the season? Bush league. To put it in perspective: in the meantime, the LA Sol have already clinched a playoff spot!
